Scope of application:
The sweat tester is a device used to test the ability of materials or products to resist sweat erosion in sweat secreted by human skin or in a salt solution environment. Its main function is to evaluate the quality and service life of the product and test the safety of the product to the human body. It is often used in product research and development, production and quality control. It is widely used in accessories, glasses, coatings, paint films, mobile phones, plastics, textiles, metals, coatings, printed products, leather, etc.
Product introduction:
Eyeglass frame sweat tester The frames have a certain ability to resist sweat corrosion, ensuring that the frames can be safely worn for 2 years or more, preventing the frames from discoloring and plating due to sweat corrosion, which seriously endangers the health and safety of the wearer. This product is a special sweat test equipment for eyeglass frames designed according to IS012870 and other standards. The equipment uses advanced temperature control equipment to keep the test temperature stable. The freely settable timer and thermometer can meet the requirements of test time and test temperature in different standards. It uses imported corrosion-resistant and collision-resistant glass containers and is equipped with safety settings, which not only ensures the safety of the test process, but also makes the entire test more intuitive, so that the test progress can be grasped in time.
Test principle:
The principle of the sweat tester is to drip artificial sweat containing NaCl or saline flower wine on the surface of the sample at room temperature for a certain period of time to simulate the sweating of the human body during exercise and daily life, and test the performance and service life of the sample. After the test, the laboratory instruments and equipment are used for analysis and evaluation to quantify the degree of performance loss of the sample in order to provide a scientific basis.
Test steps:
1. Add at least 10mm of artificial sweat (according to GB/T14214 standard) to the glass cylinder container. The lowest point of the sample (including when stacked) is not less than 12mm away from the liquid surface.
2. Place the sample on the sample holder (according to GB/T14214 8.4.16 and Appendix B), keep the temples open naturally (the spring holder is opened to the maximum state without applying external force to the spring device), and place the lower edge of the temples on the holder to ensure that there is no contact between the samples or between the samples and the container wall.
3. Close the container and put it in the heating box to maintain the temperature at 55ºC±5ºC.
4. 8h+30min, remove the sample and immediately wash it with grade 3 water, then use a soft cloth to absorb the moisture without friction. Within 30min, according to the inspection conditions specified in 7.2 of GB/T14214 standard, check each sample without the help of a magnifying glass, and record whether there are corrosion spots or color changes by comparing with a pair of samples that have not been subjected to this test.
5. Put the sample back into the container, close the container, and maintain the temperature at 55ºC±5ºC for 16h±30min. After completing the second test phase, take out, clean and dry the samples as described in item 4, and check the parts of each sample that are likely to come into contact with the wearer's skin for a long time, and record whether there is any corrosion, surface fading or shedding of the coating.
Visual sample inspection regulations:
1. After an 8-hour test, no spots or discoloration (excluding surface gloss loss) will appear on any part of the spectacle frame (excluding hinges and screws).
2. After a 24-hour test, the parts that are easy to contact the skin for a long time during the damage process, that is, the coating on the inside of the temples, the bottom and lower part of the frame, and the inside of the nose bridge will not be corroded, degraded or fall off.
3. If the spectacle frame is made of natural organic materials and the manufacturer recommends the use of grease or wax for maintenance in the instructions for use, the frame should be pre-treated according to the manufacturer's instructions before the test. If the surface discoloration or surface degradation of the frame does not meet the requirements after the test, the surface discoloration or surface degradation of the frame that has been pre-treated should be checked again after 1 day. If the frame is restored to its original state, it is judged that the frame has passed the test. If there is still residual discoloration or degradation, it is judged that the frame has failed the test.
